何でもおすすめ！ その17 ～金沢武家屋敷跡野村家
With the arrival of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, I thought it appropriate to recommend a somewhat off the beaten path location in Kanazawa.
北陸新幹線の開業に伴い、あまりよく知られていない金沢の観光地の一つをおすすめします。
Located in Kanazawa’s historic samurai district in Nagamachi, it is one of the few Michelin Guide starred attractions in Kanazawa.
ここで取りあげる野村家は、サムライの歴史に触れられる長町武家屋敷エリアにある、ミシュランガイド一つ星の観光名所です。
The Nomura residence is a restored example of a high ranking samurai family’s home from before the decline of the samurai class.
野村家では、武士階級が衰退する前の地位の高いサムライ・ファミリーの屋敷が再現されています。
Although the architecture of the home and the artifacts found within are reason enough for a visit, my recommendation is mainly due to the garden and the tea room overlooking it.
建物そのものや展示資料を見るだけでも価値が十分あると思いますが、特に私がおすすめするのは、庭園とその庭園を望むことのできる茶室です。
Although the garden itself is tiny in comparison to the grandeur that is Kenroku-en, sitting on the veranda and watching the carp swim by makes for a much more intimate experience.
立派な兼六園に比べると小さいのですが、縁側に座って池の鯉を見ていると、よりくつろぎのある体験ができます。
Indeed, despite its small size, the garden has been ranked among Japan’s best gardens.
庭園は小さいながらも、日本庭園の中でも評判がいいものとして挙げられています。
Making your way to the elevated tea room by passing through another small garden, you can enjoy a view of the main garden and house from an entirely different perspective.
小さな庭を通って階段を上ると、建物と庭園を高い位置から見渡すことができ、またまったく違った視点から楽しめます。
You can also enjoy some green tea while relaxing in the tea room.
茶室でくつろぎながら抹茶もいただけます。
If possible, I would recommend avoiding weekends and national holidays in order to make your visit more relaxing.
マイペースで楽しむためにも土日・祝日を避けるのがおすすめです。

The Japanese sweets shop Taro is located next door and also offers a different view of the garden.
お隣の＜茶菓工房たろう＞からも野村家の庭園を別の角度から楽しむことができます。
